Paratriathlon

The Dextro Energy Triathlon ITU World Championship London will not only play host to the Elite & Age Group Races it also showcases Paratriathlon. With paratriathlon looking for inclusion within the Paralympic Games, the showcase event in the British capital provides a great opportunity for the athletes and organisers to demonstrate the dedication and prowess of the top performers on the international stage.

In 2009 the Dextro Energy Triathlon London played host to the largest ever Paratriathlon race to be held in Europe, with 42 competitors from 7 different countries taking part. Alongside a stong British contingent, athletes from France, Spain, Germany, USA, Canada and Australia competed in six of the nine paratriathlon categories.

In 2010 British Triathlon will once again invite Paratriathletes from the UK and around the world to compete in a Super Sprint Triathlon. It is a unique opportunity for Paratriathletes to compete at the 2012 Olympic venue in Hyde Park, watched by thousands of spectators and racing alongside the best triathletes in the world. The event is fully inclusive allowing Paratriathletes to compete in all ITU classifications.
