Feel the spirit

As London builds up to the 2012 Games, the Dextro Energy Triathlon ITU World Championship Series returns. The premiere of the series in 2009 has already set new standards in the sport of triathlon and 2010 will be even better. We will see World Class Athletes as well as Age Groupers of all performance classes competing head-to-head on spectator friendly courses in the heart of some of the world´s most iconic cities. We will see stadium-like finish and transition areas with grand stands for thousands of spectators.Once again, TV pictures will be beamed across the globe bringing the sport of Triathlon to millions of viewers worldwide.

Here in London the successful debut of last years event gave everybody a first taste of what can be expected at the Olympic Games in 2012. Boris Johnson, Mayor of London announced that, “The 2009 Triathlon World Championships, set against the magnificent backdrop that only London can offer, were a fabulous success. It is a challenging sport that makes for a thrilling event - both for the world-class athetes taking part and the spectators cheering them on.”

A fantastic weekend awaits triathletes from all over the world as well as the spectators visiting the official venue for the 2012 Olympic Triathlon. We will see Olympic medal winners, world champions but also up and coming young British youth & junior athletes, athletes with disabilities, experienced amateurs as well as triathlon novices. All this will happen in London´s most famous park and one of the most beautiful places you can find in Central London.
